"Cod biryani"

Hi all .
I m tina a food lover.I visited asia 2 years back and found very tasty recipes over there.
*This is the best asian recipe . I like the taste very much.

Ingredients:

450 g Basmati
4 tbls Olive oil
1 item Cinnamon stick
6 item Cloves
6 item Cardamom pods
3 tsp Salt
1 item Lemon rind
4 tbls Lemon juice
2 item Onion, large
1 item Garlic clove, crushed
4 tsp Hot curry powder
0.5 tsp Turmeric
150 ml Milk
450 g Cod fillet
1 tbls Coriander, fresh, chopped
4 item Coriander leaves

"Machi biryani"

Serves 4

1. Rinse the rice. Peel and slice the onions. Gently fry the rice in 2 tbls of the olive oil for 1 minute . Add 1.2 l of boiling water, together with the cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom pods, salt, lemon rind and juice.

2. Cover with a close-fitting lid and simmer for 15 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.

3. Meanwhile, fry the onions and garlic in the remaining olive oil over a rapid heat for 5 minutes until golden. Sprinkle over the curry powder and the turmeric.

4. Fry for a further minute, then add the milk and the cod. Cover and cook for 5 minutes or until the cod begins to flake.

5. Finally garnish with the coriander and serve with the basmati rice
